I studied fine arts major in paintinig at the University of the Philippines, Cebu College.  In my second year I developed an interest in performance art.  Together with some classmates we organized an event that featured 'new art,' which was mostly installation and performance.  We called it MindWorks.

     This has since become an annual event organized by students with the help of some professors that has been on-going for more than 30 years.

     It was only in 2003, however, that I decided to concentrate on performance.  In 2007 I immigrated to Canada and almost immediately joined local performance art activities in the city of Gatineau.

     In 2008 I was nominated for the Golden Cherry Awards for performance artist of the year for the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

     In 2010 the Symposium international d'art contemporain in Baie-Saint-Paul invited me to perform for the opening event and in the same year I was invited to the Festival international d'art performatif at L'Écart . . . lieu d'art actuel in Rouyn-Noranda.

     Most recently, in 2014 I was invited to participate in the Rencontre internationale d'art Performance (RIAP) de Québec. Aside from this, I was named co-curator and helped organize the participation of artists from the Philippines.

     Despite my preference for performance art, I continue to make art objects, many of which get integrated into my performances.
