HORROR WAS THE THEME for FaitMaison 13.

   It took place on Friday, November 13.

In response, this performance is about mass killings, genocide and how ordinary people become extraordinary mass killers.

   They are introduced in the most business-like manner; the slide show, through currently utilized identity documents: passports, driver's licences, health services cards, etc. All mine.

   The cards bear the person's picture and their last names.

   Their first and middle names, however, are the same: ROY DATKUDBEME.

   After the initial IDs, specific historical data pertaining to them and explanatory slides follow.

   As the slide show unfolds, I am eating a perfectly ordinary, typical westerners cereal breakfast. Towards the end of the meal and the slide show, red liquid seeps out of from under the toilet bowl I am sitting on.

   This detail, unfortunately, is not captured in the video. But, there is still photo recordS of it.

   In any case, most of the liquid seeps into a crack on the wooden floor, escaping into the forgetfulness of history.
