THIS PARTICIPATORY PERFORMANCE involved inviting, at random, a dozen people from the audience.

   They were served alphabet noodles in chicken broth.

   The letters formed sentences or quotes uttered or written by historical figures that are, have been found out or have turned out to be either false, misleading or outright lies.

   There is a need now to eat these words.

   Each bowl had a different quotation. They had a corresponding placemat with the performance statement and their respective quotes on them.

   The diners were encouraged to discuss their quotes as much as enjoy the soup.

   This performance, I believe, contributed to my nomination to the Ottawa Golden Cherry Awards 2008 performance artist of the year.
